Teyana Taylor has confirmed that she is releasing a new album this year.
The singer has a big fan in Elton John and Teyana was a guest on the legend’s Beats 1 show this weekend where she spoke on her life, musical journey, the reception to her last album K.T.S.E. and more. Elton John expressed how he was disappointed that K.T.S.E. didn’t get a GRAMMY nod at the recently concluded awards as it was “one of the best albums” he heard last year.
On new music plans, Teyana said that the follow up is “definitely” coming out this year. She further revealed that Kanye won’t be producing (at least exclusively) it this time. “Not a might, it’s definitely gonna come out this year, she said. “I’m gonna do whatever I have to do to make sure it get out,” she said. “This one is a little bit of everybody, I want to kind of explore a little bit more, get a couple more people involved, to really, really bring to life my vision.”
