Music doesn’t leak online anymore as often as it once used to but this past one year or so hasn’t been very kind to artists like Young Thug and Kanye West.
We already know how Thugger’s music has always been infamous for landing on the web in big batches. But ‘Ye has consistently been a victim of the phenomenon this year. A couple of days ago, the full version of his song ‘New Body’ featuring Ty Dolla Sign and Nicki Minaj surfaced online — origins unknown. On Friday evening, another track from the Rap mogul named ‘The Storm’ featuring Dolla Sign and slain artist XXXTentacion hit the net. Again, origins not known.
“Switch your, switch your attitude / Go ‘head, level up yourself / This that different latitude / Life too short, don’t troll yourself / Feel that feel, enjoy yourself.” Kanye raps the opening lines. XXX contributes to the song on the second verse. It’s pretty clear that this track was recorded during Yandhi sessions but we aren’t sure if it was set to appear on the album. Kanye was originally supposed to drop his ninth album late last year but pushed it back indefinitely.
