We first found out that Swae Lee and Drake had a song in the vault when we heard the snippet played by Virgil Abloh at Coachella back in April. Then he played it again in Ibiza, and again on radio in the UK and fans assumed that the radio rip would be all we’d get. Virgil explained that the song was formed to make something that fit the club scene and we thought that was an implication that we’d never get it in studio quality.
But then earlier this week, Mike WiLL Made-It all but confirmed that the song was going to drop as part of Swae’s album campaign. After we received ‘Sextasy‘ earlier today, here is the big one. The Swae Lee and Drake collab is called ‘Won’t Be Late’ and feels like a late entry for the 2019 summer anthem. Stream it below.
Swae Lee scored a number 1 single ‘Sunflower’ with Post Malone earlier this year so his name is definitely more recognizable in the Pop world. Let’s hope that helps him when his album launches.
