Fans have been really demanding a Megan Thee Stallion episode of NPR Tiny Desk concert and they finally got their wish granted today (Oct. 28) as the Houston rapper took part in NPR’s Tiny Desk Fest, backed by a live band (Phony Ppl) for the first time.
Megan performed some of her big hits for the limited audience including ‘Big Ole Freak’, ‘Money Good’ and of course, ‘Hot Girl Summer’ featuring Ty Dolla Sign and Nicki Minaj. She said after performing: “That song is actually featuring Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign. They’re just both so amazing. I was so excited when Nicki sent me back the verse and I was like, “Oh my God, I got a Nicki Minaj verse!”
Megan also took the opportunity to perform a never heard before song where she raps and sings about relationships and cheating. “You got a man, but you f*ckin’ around.” Watch her debut the yet untitled track below. On Saturday she was Chance The Rapper’s guest on SNL for a performance of ‘Handsome’.
