UPDATE (Oct. 6): In a rare case, HDD has admitted that they got Summer’s numbers quite wrong and she’s actually on course to do 115-125k copies in the first week, setting her up for a number 1 spot this week.
Previous story (Oct. 5):
Summer Walker’s debut album Over It features a dream list of collaborators including Drake (on the lead single ‘Girls Need Love’ remix), Usher, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Bryson Tiller, Jhene Aiko and 6LACK.
The initial reaction from fans to the album has been pretty good. Today, we have the first week sales projections. HDD reports that the LVRN/Interscope release is set to move approximately 75-85k copies in the first seven days and will battle it out for the #2 spot on the Billboard 200 with label mate DaBaby who is also looking to do similar numbers in the second week with his KIRK album. Over It is looking at 11-13k of pure sales.
