ASAP Rocky is already an accomplished musician but many have the same accolades as he does. What others may not have achieved so far is a mention during a hearing in the impeachment proceedings against U.S. President Donald Trump.
An impeachment inquiry against Trump began after a whistleblower alleged that he had abused the power of the presidency by secretly pressuring the president of Ukraine to undertake actions which would have had the effect of helping Trump’s 2020 re-election campaign. Gordon Sondland, the diplomat at the center of the House impeachment inquiry, reportedly kept Secretary of State Mike Pompeo apprised of key developments in the campaign to pressure Ukraine’s leader into public commitments that would satisfy President Donald Trump.

Gordon Sondland is the most anticipated witness in the Trump impeachment inquiry, who is facing questions about his accounts of the Trump administration’s dealings with Ukraine. In the hearing that took place on Wednesday, Nov. 20, Sondland mentioned ASAP Rocky’s name in his opening statement. “I think we primarily discussed ASAP Rocky,” he said. Watch the clip above.
