Lil Uzi Vert ‘Eternal Atake’, Jhene Aiko ‘Chilombo’ & Megan Thee Stallion ‘Suga’ First Week Sales

UPDATE: The first week numbers for last week’s big releases are in and final.

Kendrick Lamar Shakes Up The Super Bowl With Bold Drake Diss And Surprise Guests
Kendrick Lamar's Super Bowl 59 halftime performance was nothing short of legendary, leaving fans buzzing with surprise cameos and bold moments that took his long-running feud with Drake to new heights. Kicking off with an unreleased song snippet and followed by “Squabble Up” from his latest album GNX, Kendrick immediately set the tone for a game-changing performance. Fans eagerly waited to see if Kendrick would play his diss track Not Like Us, especially with Drake's ongoing lawsuit against him and his label for defamation and harassment. Lamar's performance included an unexpected appearance by SZA and a quirky cameo from Serena Williams, along with Samuel L. Jackson’s comedic interruptions, all building the suspense around the Drake drama. In the middle of his performance, Kendrick turned up the heat, looking straight into the camera and directly addressing Drake with his famous lyrics, “I heard you like them young," as fans held their breath. Despite the tension, Kendrick censored himself when it came time to call Drake a "certified lover boy" and avoided saying “pedophile,” which had been widely speculated. Social media lit up with mixed reactions, with some fans mocking the performance as a "mid mashup" and others noting the intense hostility toward Drake. With the hashtag #KendrickBowl trending, it’s clear that Kendrick’s performance was a cultural moment that pushed boundaries—but has he gone too far, or is this just another chapter in hip-hop history? Only time will tell, and Drake has yet to respond.

Lil Uzi Vert debuts at #1 with 310,832 copies of EA sold first week with 9,666 copies coming from pure sales. It’ll be interesting to see how the 14 new songs he dropped this morning impact it next week.

At #2 is Jhene Aiko with 153,479 copies of Chilombo sold first week. She sold 40,382 copies pure.

Megan makes the top 10, at 10, with 43,882 copies of Suga sold first week. 4,279 copies come from pure sales.

UPDATE: As has often been happening, the projections for the week have changed slightly.

Uzi is now set to sell 310k–330k copies of Eternal Atake first week, now with 9k-11k coming from pure sales. This increase means that Uzi will have sold 30k copies more than Em did with his last album and will debut at #1. Insane.

Jhene’s projections have also seen a significant increase. She is now set to sell 140k–155k copies of her album with a massive 35k-45k coming from pure sales. This will secure her the #2 spot on the charts.

Megan’s sales projections also see an increase. Suga will now sell 37k–42k first week with 4k-6k coming from pure sales. This should put her at #10.

Previous story:

This past week saw some major releases in the R&B/Hip-Hop world. It was initially label mates Jhene Aiko and Jadakiss holding it down with their respective albums, Chilombo and Ignatius.

Then came Lil Uzi Vert on Friday morning with his much awaited album Eternal Atake which had seen many delays in the past. It’s no surprise that the project is putting out numbers. HDD projects that Uzi will sell a whopping 275k–325k copies of the album first week with just 5k-8k albums coming from pure sales. This is more than double his last album Luv Is Rage II which sold 135k first week.

Jhene is set to sell 95k–120k copies of Chilombo first week with 4k-7k coming from pure sales. This is around triple her last effort, Trip, which sold 32k first week.

Megan comes in projected to sell 35k–40k copies of her new EP Suga first week. Of that number, 3k-5k comes from pure sales.

Check back throughout the week as numbers change.
