NF has been on a hiatus for a little bit but he is back today with the new song called ‘Chasing (Demo)’.
On the surprise release, the Gladwin, Michigan rapper-singer has collaborated with a 15 year old fan named Mikayla Sippel. “I just want to run away. Find somewhere to feel safe,” she sings on the chorus of the mellow song, echoing the usual content that NF raps about in his music. Listen to the song below.
“I posted a clip the other day of a song and was honestly shocked at how much you guys liked it. Every project I do there are a couple of songs that I hold back or just don’t feel like work and this was most likely going to be one of those songs,” NF said about the release. “A day or so after I posted the clip I heard a cover a fan did of it and I was blown away by it. Long story short, my producer Tommee and I took her audio and ended up finishing it for you guys! Thank you Mikayla Sippel for letting us use your amazing voice and inspiring me to actually release it.”
This is the first new song that NF has released since the ‘Paid My Dues‘ single in December, 2019. In July last year, he famously beat Chance The Rapper for the number 1 spot on Billboard 200, moving 130k copies in the first week.
