While most of America was busy in Halloween festivities, NLE Choppa was preparing the release of his new mixtape, From Dark to Light.
The rising Memphis rapper decided to put out this project on his 18th birthday (11/1) at exactly 11:11am CST. He is exploring “dark thoughts and emotions, embarking on a spiritual journey that leads to hope and light” on the tape which features 13 songs in total. Big Sean appears on track #3 ‘Moonlight’ where he comes through with a standout verse.
“11:11 is an important angel number where you make a manifestation/affirmation come true,” NLE Choppa shares. “Every time I catch 11:11, I make an affirmation regarding my album. My birthday is 11/1. These are all angel numbers. The one in numerology represents new beginnings. So when I drop, new beginnings will form. It’s like walking through doors bigger than I can imagine.”
