The Weeknd Releases Greatest Hits Album ‘The Highlights’ Ahead of Super Bowl Performance

The Weeknd has surprised us by releasing an album of his greatest hits called The Highlights.

The Canadian superstar has not made the announcement himself yet but we stumbled upon the item on his official website on Monday night (Jan. 25). The album is only available in CD format and contains a total of 18 songs spanning different eras. It features hits from both his early days like ‘Often’ and ‘The Morning’ as well as smashes from his latest outing, After Hours, and everything in between.

Kendrick Lamar, Daft Punk (2 songs) and Ariana Grande are the three guest appearances on the CD which can be purchased here. The website notes that it will ship in 2-3 weeks. We did our research and it looks like his official website is the only place where you can currently buy this product.

The album’s release comes just in time before The Weeknd’s highly anticipated Super Bowl halftime performance on Sunday, Feb. 7 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. We’re pretty sure he will be performing his biggest hit ‘Blinding Lights’ but rest of the set list is still a secret. Take a look at the tracklist for The Highlights below.
