Welcome back to yet another weekly edition of the Saturday Spotlight, where we are finding the next wave of talent. Every week we get a massive amount of submissions, this week being no different — more and more people are submitting, and the diversity of talent is truly an amazing sight to see. In case you missed it, check out our last week’s picks, Jasmine J Walker + LVTee.
All artists on the come up can submit music to us for Saturday Spotlight on this link.
Trece Vee
Brooklyn’s Trece Vee is making music for those quiet late nights, the late-night drives where the loudest thing in the car besides your breathing are your thoughts. On “Tktv”, the skilled rapper breezes through the smooth instrumental, spitting verses reflecting on the everyday BS that we have to deal with — and the good times in between. Trece’s hazy flow is laid back, fully-composed, and delivered as if he just finished a smoke break. His individuality and the unique lane he’s paving are exciting, making him an artist to look out for in 2021. Check out his track, “Yktv” below:
Krish
Krish’s latest single, “Without You” is another quarrel with love, but for the singer, it’s moving on that’s the hardest. The Chicago resident sings these verses with a sense of loss that lingers off of every word. Over a bed of piano keys, he sings, borderline rapping his verses, reflecting on what’s gone and how he’s going to cope without the person in question. His vocals are soft, yet the punch it packs on the messages and theme alone hits deep in the chest. Check out his single, “Without You” below:

Through our artist discovery platform Saturday Spotlight, we have discovered some amazing talent in the past including Russ, Ty Dolla Sign, Mez, IDK, Victoria Monét and Trap Beckham to name just a few. In most cases, coverage on HHNM was their first look among media outlets. Find the submission guidelines here.
