Drake Invests In Eco-Finance Startup ‘Aspiration’, Aims To Make His Life Carbon Neutral

Los Angeles-based sustainability and financial services startup Aspiration has announced that Drake has joined a list of Robert Downey Jr., Leonardo DiCaprio and more as an investor of the company.

The company is an eco-friendly alternative to banks and fintech companies because it thrives on not investing in fossil fuel companies or non-sustainable endeavours. The company also prides itself on supplying customers with information on their carbon footprint and the option to round up purchases to go towards planting trees.

However, Drake’s partnership with the company goes deeper than just an investment.

Company executives say that Drake will also use the company himself to track and reduce his carbon footprint, with the goal of making his personal life carbon neutral. Drake says that he is excited to partner with a “company that’s found a simple way to offer everyone the ability to reduce their carbon footprint” and that their “approach to climate change is really inspiring and I hope together we can help to motivate and create awareness.”

This is a big move that all parties involved hope will be the beginning of a trend.

Looking forward to working with @aspiration and encouraging everyone to offset their carbon footprint. https://t.co/AqV7oGc5VM
