Megan Thee Stallion Goes to Court, Alleges Her Label 1501 is Blocking Release of ‘Butter’ Remix with BTS

Megan Thee Stallion Wins ‘Best New Artist’ GRAMMY, Second Female Rapper After Lauryn Hill

Megan Thee Stallion is at war once again with her label, 501 Certified Entertainment, and its head, former MLB star Carl Crawford.

The rapper has filed legal documents in court alleging that the label is blocking the release of new music from her, particularly a remix of BTS’ global hit ‘Butter’ where she is the featured artist. The song is supposed to release on Friday, August 27th but the label is supposedly creating issues in the smooth release of it, reports TMZ.

Megan believes that jumping on the song will help expand her international fanbase with help of BTS’ global appeal but Megan says 1501 told her they believe the song’s release is not good for her career.

This is not the first time Megan is having issues with her label. She ended up getting an order from the court last year to prohibit 1501 and Crawford from blocking the release of her new music. In the new docs filed, she says they’re violating that order.

The Houston Hottie believes her label is putting up roadblocks to suppress her artistry and ultimately hurt her career. Yesterday, she dropped a new freestyle called ‘Tuned In’ which you can watch here.

UPDATE: BTS have officially announced the remix on social media.
