Emotions surge through Yo OG’s music and he’s the conductor. On his track, “RUN!,” he takes about 3 minutes to weave through the folds of his consciousness. The track is about progression, not just in his profession but as a person. It’s a song of perseverance, withstanding fake personalities, and toxicity. Yo OG’s delivery is filled with vigor and the lofi production compliments him entirely. Check out the track below:
Cush Wallace’s raps could ignite wildfires. On his single, “AMMO,” the Los Angeles artist rips through the production’s heavy guitar strums with his nasally delivery. Cush produces his own music, he’s able to pinpoint the type of energy needed for the track. On “AMMO,” the guitar strings and minimalist bass allows Cush’s vocals to take the spotlight. Throughout his verses, there are moments where he drags out his words with a cadence reminiscent of Kendrick Lamar. Check out the single below:
Through our artist discovery platform Saturday Spotlight, we have discovered some amazing talent in the past including Russ, Ty Dolla Sign, Mez, IDK, Victoria Monét and Trap Beckham to name just a few. In most cases, coverage on HHNM was their first look among media outlets. Find the submission guidelines here.
