Sol Blume 2022 Recap: An R&B Dream Fest

Sol Blume festival returned to Sacramento, CA at Discovery Park this past weekend for the first time since 2019, a brief hiatus due to the pandemic.

Over the years, Sol Blume has grown into one of the largest annual R&B events in the country and this year, they decided to expand it to two days to make up for the time lost. Nearly 40,000+ total guests attended the festival this year which boasted of an all-female headlining lineup that included Jhené Aiko, Jazmine Sullivan, Summer Walker, and Jorja Smith. Some of the artists on the bill were performing in Sacramento for the first time ever.

Other than the above-mentioned headliners, other acts included Thundercat, Alina Baraz, Syd, SiR, Lucky Daye, Smino, Blxst, Tinashe, Majid Jordan, and DVSN, among many others. This year’s lineup also featured several acts with Sacramento roots including Victoria Monét and Yelly. One great thing about how the set times were done is that there was minimal overlapping so fans could catch their favorites at both stages.

HHNM was in the building to catch some of the refreshing vibes — check out our photo recap below, captured by Jit Grewal.
