Jeremih has not been active with releasing music lately, but he has a big reason behind it.
The singer survived a serious case of COVID-19 when he was admitted to the hospital following multiple organ failure at end of 2020. “First and foremost, I would like to thank God and the incredible team of doctors and nurses at Northwestern Memorial Hospital for saving my life. I will be forever grateful,” he said.
Since then, the Chicago artist has been helping other artists with features but has not released a solo single of his own. He’s back tonight with the first new single since the scare, ‘Changes’ which he previewed earlier this week on social media. It is produced by Hitmaka.
“We all go back & forth sometimes with relationships and the various changes they can have,” said Jeremih. “The ups, the downs, but the best change is having someone that’ll make you stop doing what you’re doing to focus on just that.”
