Snippets of a SZA song called ‘Shirt’ have been online for over a year now, dating back to early 2021 when the singer posted a video of herself dancing to it on TikTok. A few weeks later, it was picking up steam and SZA confirmed that she had shot a video for it.
In March of 2021, at the end of the ‘Good Days’ video, she had an extended preview of the record in the background of a visual of her dancing on a pole. Four months later, she performed it as part of a branded partnership with Grey Goose. It all only got fans even more excited to hear the final studio version.
Unfortunately from that point on, it took pretty much a year to get any new news about the song. In July of this year, SZA revealed that Doja Cat is on the song. Now, over a year and a half from when we were first teased the record, it is finally out.
If you were excited to hear Doja on the song, that will now be an official remix. The video is set to drop later tonight with an appearance from Lakeith Stanfield. You can listen below.
