DJ Drama is working on a new album right now with the first single ‘HO4ME‘ with Lil Baby and A Boogie wit Da Hoodie out everywhere.
But it looks like he has a lot more on his plate. In a new interview with Rap Radar podcast, the celebrated DJ reveals casually that there’s a Gangsta Grillz mixtape with De La Soul on the way. Dram mentioned the above while discussing how he has managed to keep himself relevant over years which is by being excited and tapped into the current wave of artists while not forgetting about the legends in the game.
Watch the clip below. Drama also has a Gangsta Grillz project with Pusha T in the works which was announced during a Twitter Spaces session in December, 2022. Plus, he revealed that Dedication 2 comes to streaming this year.

The De La Soul catalog recently released to streaming platforms for the first time. Posdnuos, Dave and Maseo have retained control of the rights to the master recordings through their new relationship with Reservoir and Chrysalis Records after a long legal battle with their original label, Tommy Boy Records. “It’s been 20 plus years overdue, but finally, we are here,” says DJ Maseo.
Trugoy The Dove, also known as Plug Two from De La Soul, passed away at 54 last month, just weeks before their catalog was due to arrive on DSPs.
