XXL has announced the 2023 Freshman Class today.
As usual, while some of the names are pretty much expected, a few definitely are surprising. The 10th spot, who is picked on voting, has been won by Milwaukee rapper DC The Don. The outlet will be releasing freestyles, cyphers, interviews and more with each Freshman, with beats provided by Pi’erre Bourne.
“Navigating the industry’s obstacle course, these newcomers have taken on the task by releasing mixtapes and EPs, ultimately leading to debut albums, creating and maintaining momentum among fans and touring numerous cities,” says XXL.
