Doja Cat has been in the news lately for going at fans and people have split opinion on it.
Doja mocked her fan community for naming themselves “Kittenz”, similar to Taylor Swift’s “Swifties” and Nicki Minaj’s “Barbz”. “My fans don’t name themselves shit,” she said. “If you call yourself a ‘kitten’ or f**king ‘kittenz’ that means you need to get off your phone and get a job and help your parents with the house.”
That’s when the back and forth started between her and the fan clubs with many pages disabling their accounts in protest. She also got upset at fans naming their handles after her government name. However, she seems to be unmoved in classic Doja Cat style. After the striking song and video ‘Attention‘ in June, the rapper-singer returns with the follow-up today titled ‘Paint The Town Red’.

Once again, Doja offers a really good song which has her rapping but is overall more melodic than the previous one. The beat is also more for the mainstream market. Listen/preview it below (available everywhere at midnight EST).
UPDATE: the music video is out as well.
