Nicki Minaj has rejected Kanye West’s request to clear her verse on the song ‘New Body’.
Kanye was creating ‘New Body’ with Nicki and Ty Dolla Sign for his scrapped Yandhi album. The song was re-worked numerous times in typical Ye fashion and then supposed to eventually land on Jesus is King in an updated form which included all clean lyrics. The track leaked in full in 2019 and back in October this year, the music video also hit the internet out of nowhere.
When the tracklist for Kanye and Ty Dolla’s new album Vultures was released earlier this week, fans were surprised to see ‘New Body’ on it. Kanye then made it public that he had reached out to Nicki to clear the verse on it.

Vultures did not drop on Thursday at midnight as scheduled which was obviously not a shock at all to us as we’re fully aware of Kanye’s punctuality by now. The pre-order page also disappeared on Thursday.
During an Instagram Live on Thursday night (Dec 14), Nicki addressed Kanye’s reach when fans brought it up in the comments. Nicki said that she doesn’t want the song to come out as the train had “left the station.”
“Now regarding Kanye, chile, that train has left the station,” she said. “Okay, no disrespect in anyway. I just put out a brand-new album. Why would I put out a song that’s been out for three years? C’mon guys.” Watch the clip below.
