Fans were surprised when Jay Electronica dropped Act I on streaming on Wednesday, but took it as a pleasant surprise. But when Act II dropped on streaming yesterday, many were speculating if we could get something new today, especially since today is the rapper’s 49th birthday. Somehow, the prophecy has indeed been fulfilled and we have a new Jay Electronica project. It’s not Act III, but it’s something fans will undoubtedly appreciate anyway.
The new album is called A Written Testimony: Leaflets. Despite the reference to his 2020 album, it doesn’t seem like these are leftovers from that album or anything. Appearing as guests on the album are Quentin Miller and DRAM, plus Diddy controversially appears on the intro.
