Justin Timberlake continues to prove he’s easily one of the biggest artists of the world.

His new single ‘Can’t Stop The Feeling‘ has fans going crazy and this week, it has soared straight to the number 1 position on Billboard Hot 100. This is his 5th solo #1 which dethrones Drake’s ‘One Dance’ from the top position.

The song, which is off the upcoming DreamWorks animated film Trolls, is JT’s first number 1 debut. It sold a whopping 379k copies in the first week, beating the 315k start for ‘Suit & Tie’ featuring Jay Z in 2013. It is also the best weekly sales for any artist this year.

‘Can’t Stop The Feeling’ has gained 83 million in audience on the radio so far and also becomes the first song to reach the top 10 of Radio Songs chart in just two weeks since Adele’s ‘Hello’ in November lat year.

Justin’s previous four number 1s are: ‘SexyBack’ (seven weeks, 2006), ‘My Love,’ featuring T.I. (three weeks, 2006), and ‘What Goes Around…Comes Around’ (one week, 2007), all from his album FutureSex/LoveSounds, and ‘Give It to Me,’ by Timbaland featuring Nelly Furtado and Timberlake (two weeks, 2007).

Interestingly, with this single, Max Martin has achieved his 22nd No. 1 as a writer. He’s now in third place among songwriters for the most No. 1s in the Hot 100’s history, trailing only Paul McCartney (32) and John Lennon (26).

JT is currently working on his new solo album which industry experts say is expected to release in the 4th quarter.
