Kanye Shows Love To Donald Trump; Shows Off Autographed “MAGA” Hat

Kanye West has officially aligned himself with Donald Trump.

Kendrick Lamar Shakes Up The Super Bowl With Bold Drake Diss And Surprise Guests
Kendrick Lamar's Super Bowl 59 halftime performance was nothing short of legendary, leaving fans buzzing with surprise cameos and bold moments that took his long-running feud with Drake to new heights. Kicking off with an unreleased song snippet and followed by “Squabble Up” from his latest album GNX, Kendrick immediately set the tone for a game-changing performance. Fans eagerly waited to see if Kendrick would play his diss track Not Like Us, especially with Drake's ongoing lawsuit against him and his label for defamation and harassment. Lamar's performance included an unexpected appearance by SZA and a quirky cameo from Serena Williams, along with Samuel L. Jackson’s comedic interruptions, all building the suspense around the Drake drama. In the middle of his performance, Kendrick turned up the heat, looking straight into the camera and directly addressing Drake with his famous lyrics, “I heard you like them young," as fans held their breath. Despite the tension, Kendrick censored himself when it came time to call Drake a "certified lover boy" and avoided saying “pedophile,” which had been widely speculated. Social media lit up with mixed reactions, with some fans mocking the performance as a "mid mashup" and others noting the intense hostility toward Drake. With the hashtag #KendrickBowl trending, it’s clear that Kendrick’s performance was a cultural moment that pushed boundaries—but has he gone too far, or is this just another chapter in hip-hop history? Only time will tell, and Drake has yet to respond.

On Wednesday morning, Kanye sent out a series of tweets where he made it clear that he was a Trump supporter and no one’s opinion was going to change his feelings. “You don’t have to agree with trump but the mob can’t make me not love him,” said the rapper in one of the tweets. Kanye’s trip to Trump Tower in December 2016 had raised eyebrows.

The rapper has been the topic of discussion lately with his appreciation of black conservative commentator Candace Owens and openly telling Ebro on Hot 97 that he loves Donald Trump. “We are both dragon energy. He is my brother,” ‘Ye continued. “I love everyone. I don’t agree with everything anyone does. That’s what makes us individuals,” he further said.

You don't have to agree with trump but the mob can't make me not love him. We are both dragon energy. He is my brother. I love everyone. I don't agree with everything anyone does. That's what makes us individuals. And we have the right to independent thought.

my wife just called me and she wanted me to make this clear to everyone. I don't agree with everything Trump does. I don't agree 100% with anyone but myself.

If your friend jumps off the bridge you don't have to do the same. Ye being Ye is a fight for you to be you. For people In my life the idea of Trump is pretty much a 50 50 split but I don't tell a Hillary supporter not to support Hillary
I love Hillary too.

Thank you Kanye, very cool! https://t.co/vRIC87M21X

“Thank you Kanye, very cool!” he wrote on Wednesday (April 25) in response to the rapper’s latest tweet about his “love” for “brother” Trump. Kanye further tweeted a photo of himself in the company of Universal Music Group chairman and CEO Lucian Grainge and YouTube’s global head of music Lyor Cohen where he’s wearing the “Make America Great Again” hat. He then showed off his Trump-autographed hat in a separate tweet.

J. Cole is one of the artists who has reacted to the episode.

"These are our heroes" – @nas

Kanye also seems to have lost close to 10 million followers on Twitter after the Trump tweets. Down from 28 million to 18.7 million at the time of publishing this article.

UPDATE: Lyor Cohen has released a statement about his meeting with Kanye:

“I went to listen to music and see Kanye. He is someone I care about. I don’t abandon people. With great music comes great pain and stress. The music is incredible!”
