This situation with Tory Lanez and Megan Thee Stallion has been tough to witness from afar so we can only imagine what it’s been like for the parties involved. The last thing that happened was the release of Tory’s album DAYSTAR where he addressed the incident, claiming that it wasn’t him that shot Megan and even going as far as to imply that she hadn’t been shot at all.
Today, TMZ reports that Tory has been charged with felony assault in the case. The L.A. County D.A.’s office hit the rapper with one count of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle. They also allege that Tory inflicted great bodily injury.
Prosecutors are indeed treating Tory as though he is the shooter. If he is convicted, Tory faces up to 22 years and 8 months behind bars. We’ll keep you updated with whatever happens next.
