Timbaland definitely doesn’t seem to be too happy with Drake and Chris Brown working with Aaliyah’s posthumous vocals. In a teaser of a full interview with Revolt, the legendary producer who worked with the late singer extensively, says that Aaliyah songs only “work” with its soul mate which is him. In the end, he also expresses his desire to reunite with Nas.
UPDATE: Added the full interview. He reveals that Nas has an upcoming song called ‘Sinatra In The Sands’ featuring Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake. Wow.
UPDATE 2: Quite strangely, Timbo has gone public with an apology to Chris Brown for what he said in the interview. Also interesting that he doesn’t mention Drake. Read below.
I want 2 publicly apologize 2 my lil homie @chrisbrown 4 my statements on revolt regarding the Aaliyah collaborations. i actually like the song wit him n Aaliyah, its just when you are talking about babygirl its a very sensitive subject with me. so the people who not only worked with her but grew a bond so tight we are like family so im very over protective over her. I have mad luv 4 my dude @chrisbrown.
