R. Kelly debuts the first single off upcoming new album Buffet which is due in stores September 25th. ‘Backyard Party’ sounds as feel good as the title and is perfect for this Summer season. You can’t help but think of Sunday BBQs the moment you press play on this.
Kellz explained the concept behind the title of his album in the following words to Rocsi Diaz:
“You’ve got Hip-Hop, you’ve got old school music with the Step In The Name of Love type, then you’ve got traditional R. Kelly, sensuous sexual kind of music. It’s just a variety of things, so I call it the Buffet.”
