Rich Homie Quan has been working hard lately, having recently released a new mixtape called Back 2 Da Basics which was a mix of new songs and some previously released ones. The Atlanta rapper has been away from music for a while since he was fighting a legal battle with his label Think It’s A Game Records and prohibited to release new music during its pendency.
Now with a new deal with Motown, Quan is working on his official debut album. In an interview with 99 Jamz in Miami yesterday, the rapper talked about his past struggles, legal battle with previous label, signing with Motown and more. He also spoke on what to expect from his album which is titled Rich As In Spirit and the inspiration behind its title (20:30 mark).
Rich Homie Quan addressed his current relationship with former Rich Gang partner Young Thug as well, saying that he doesn’t have any bad feelings towards him but they don’t communicate anymore. Watch the full interview below.
