Playboi Carti and Lil Uzi Vert teased a joint album back in September when they wrote “16.29” on one of the Instagram stories. It was a reference to the respective blocks they are from in their cities. Uzi is from the 1600 block in North Philly while Carti is from the 2900 block in Atlanta.
The rappers, who have worked on songs like ‘Lookin’ and ‘wokeuplikethis‘ in the past have not announced anything official or released any songs since then. But tonight, a new track titled ‘Squad’ from the energetic duo has surfaced on the internet.
This was one of the tracks that Uzi had teased on social media back in April (it was reportedly called ‘Firearm’ then) and fans were looking forward to hearing the full version in proper studio quality. Stream it below.
