Tekashi 6ix9ine is one of the most controversial musicians in recent memory but he’s also a highly successful act who puts up numbers on the board.
Tekashi does not do many interviews but he agreed to sit down with Angie Martinez at Power 105 for a long interview. He talks about collaborating with Nicki Minaj on the song ‘FEFE‘, Nicki giving her a big co-sign, making it in the industry without help from the big wigs, the rape allegations and pleading guilty, the robbery incident that took place last weekend, and more.
Speaking about his family, an emotional Tekashi revealed that the day his father died, he had asked him to go to the store with him but he refused. Shortly after, he was murdered. He now takes care of his mother and elder brother.
Tekashi entered a guilty plea with the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office for “the use of a child in a sexual performance” in 2015 but the rapper claims in this interview that he was just a kid who was trying to avoid a 15 year jail sentence as he had no money to defend himself. He added that he did not know the age of the girl at the time and there was certainly no rape. Watch the full interview below.
