The upcoming MTV Video Music Awards just got bigger as the network has announced today that Post Malone and Travis Scott will be hitting the stage at the upcoming ceremony at Radio City Music Hall on Monday, August 20th.
Travis will perform a medley of songs from his latest album Astroworld, which was released last Friday and set to move nearly 500k copies in the first week. He had performed at the VMAs last year as well where he joined Thirty Seconds to Mars for the song ‘Walk on Water’. Post Malone will be making his VMA debut with a song off his number 1 album Beerbongs & Bentleys.
Previously announced performers at the awards include Shawn Mendes, Ariana Grande, Logic and this year’s Video Vanguard winner Jennifer Lopez. Logic will team up with OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder to perform their new collaboration ‘One Day‘ for the first time live. Cardi B is leading this year’s nominations with ten followed by The Carters (eight nominations), Childish Gambino (seven nominations), Drake (seven nominations) and Bruno Mars (six nominations).
