Royce 5’9 closed out 2019 giving us something to look forward to for the new year, the announcement of his new album The Allegory. He did some interviews and said that he wanted it out by the end of January but longtime manager Kino said February. It looks like Kino won the argument because earlier today on Beats 1 Radio, Royce revealed that the album will be out on February 21st.
He also gave Lowkey the world premiere of his new single ‘Over Comer’ which features Westside Gunn. It’s produced by Royce himself, as is the entire forthcoming LP. On the song, it might surprise people that Nickel actually talks directly to Yelawolf, calling him out by name and taking shots at him. You may remember that when he appeared on the Joe Budden Podcast a while back, they discussed some lines without mentioning who they were talking abut. Well, it seems that this is it.
