DaBaby Slaps Woman On Way to Stage; Apologizes to Her Later

DaBaby’s short temper keeps him in the news on the regular.

This time, he’s facing flack for slapping a woman in the face while he was on the way to take the stage at an aftershow following his performance in Tampa, Fla on Saturday night. The rapper slapped the fan after it appeared that she was trying to hit him in his face with her phone to apparently take a close up photo/video of him. Following the incident, the crowd reportedly booed him and he left the venue without performing.

Watch the clip above. DaBaby went on Instagram stories shortly after the incident and asked fans to supply him alternate angle of the altercation. “I got $10,000 for whoever got a good angle of shawty hitting me in my eye with her phone,” he said. “Who know shawty government name so my lawyer can get active?”

This morning, DaBaby again took to his Instagram to offer an apology for the incident while defending his instant reaction. “I do sincerely apologize, I do. I’m very sorry that there was a female on the other end of that flashlight on their phone. But you know, keep in mind, I couldn’t see you because you got the flash this close to me..”

According to TMZ, the victim told law enforcement that that DaBaby got the wrong person when he smacked her and it was actually another woman next to her who hit the rapper first in the face. It is not clear yet if she would be pressing charges for the incident.
