Ty Dolla Sign Shares His Post Malone Collab ‘Spicy’: Listen

A lot of heads turned yesterday when Ty Dolla Sign revealed the tracklist to his new album Featuring Ty Dolla Sign.

The album hits stores and streaming services this Friday, Oct. 23rd but before that, he’s offering fans another sneak peek with the song ‘Spicy’ featuring Post Malone. The last time these two collaborated (‘Psycho‘), they hit the jackpot, scoring one of the biggest songs of the year. So how did they do this time?

Well, one listen of this banger and seems like they have another hit potential on their hands. However, this time, their song is much more upbeat and happy.

He opened up about the track to Zane Lowe on Apple Music: “Oh man, just that one that cuts through. Same thing we did with “Psycho,” and everything else he’s been doing. And it was just, me and James, and my partners, made this beat. And I did my part on it. I was just like, “Yo, we need Post on this one. This is the one.” So, I called him and he took a f-king hell of a long time to send it back. But, I got it back. Shout out, Post. I was kind of impatient just because we started on this song, me and him, definitely sometime last year. And I’m like, “Yo, finish your f-king verse. Finish your verse. Send it, send it, send it.” “All right, I’m going to send it. All right, next week. All right, I got it on Monday. All right. All right. All right. All right. All right…” All those. To where I’m like, damn, I don’t want to make it seem like I’m going too hard on you. So, Sal, my manager, hit this f-king Dre for me, man. And that was a couple months. And then, it finally happened. So, it’s a process. It’s all good, though, man. Shout out to our brother, Post. He’s about perfection, and we see it in his work, every time.”
