Previous story:

Some bad news is coming in on this Saturday morning.

DMX reportedly suffered a drug overdose on Friday night and is currently in the hospital, as per TMZ. The overdose occurred at his home at around 11 PM which triggered a heart attack.

DMX was rushed to a hospital in White Plains, New York and is in the critical care unit, as per the publication. He does have “some brain activity” but another source says he’s in a “vegetative state.” What’s more worrying is, doctors have cautioned he may not make it.

The legendary rapper has battled with substance abuse over the years and has had a few health scares in the past. He’s also been to rehab a few times. Back in October, 2019, he canceled multiple concerts to go to rehab, calling it “ongoing commitment to putting family and sobriety first.” That came following a 12-month sentence for tax evasion.

X has been working hard on his new, yet untitled album. Back in February, he revealed that Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg, Usher, Alicia Keys, The LOX and Bono of U2 will be appearing as guest appearances on it.

We are praying he recovers from this.
