Kanye West debuted his new album DONDA during a live stream event at the Mercedes-Benz stadium on Thursday night in Atlanta.
The album was supposed to be out at midnight but in typical Kanye style, we are still waiting for it. Apart from playing songs featuring Pop Smoke, Travis Scott, Pusha T, Baby Keem, Lil Baby and Lil Durk, ‘Ye surprised fans by premiering a new track featuring Jay-Z.
Kanye also got a gift in return backstage at the event. The City of Atlanta presented the rapper a plaque backstage after his performance, officially proclaiming July 22 as “Kanye West Day.”
Watch the footage of Kanye being presented with the plaque below with Kim Kardashian in attendance. Additionally, Kevin James, President of ATL’s HBCU Morris Brown College, was also on hand to present him token of appreciation on behalf of his mom, Donda West, reports TMZ. As some fans may be aware, Dr. West taught at the school for nearly 2 decades and was Chair of the English Department.
