Lupe Fiasco has been on a tear as of late, releasing freestyle after freestyle in the past few weeks. Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Sing About Me, I’m Dying Of Thirst‘, Jay Electronica’s ‘Exhibit C‘ and Cam’ron’s ‘The Roc‘ are just a handful of the instrumentals he’s rapped over. The way he’s rapping and the frequency at which they were coming out made it feel like the Fahrenheit 1/15 days.
In the early hours of the morning, Lupe took to Twitter to announce something very exciting. He revealed that he was making a full album from scratch in 24 hours. He tweeted it around 03:30AM EST and was one song in at the time. At about quarter past 5, he was two songs in. He has around 19 hours left at the time of writing. I hope this actually ends up coming out and isn’t just an exercise for Lupe, but who knows? Perhaps it’ll be called Drill Music In Zion…
