It looks like the superstar convo initiated by Punch of TDE on Twitter earlier this week has lit a new fire with Russ. Punch was asking his audience who we think has the potential to be a superstar out of today’s pool of artists.
There’s no denying that the Atlanta based rapper has carved a unique space for himself in the game, selling out shows across the world and going multi platinum several times while owning most of his music. On top of all of that, he remains one of the most versatile artists we have today in the mainstream.
Stars with potential to be superstars right now would be Megan Thee Stallion and Jack Harlow. https://t.co/csu7eTZcrb

Inspired by the talk, the rapper-singer-producer has decided to drop a new song tonight called ‘What Are Y’all’ where he stakes his claim in the potential superstar conversation. He revealed on Instagram that he wrote this a few hours ago today itself. Whatever he’s rapping, it’s 100% accurate.
“If you don’t own your music, I’m not hearing comparisons, man shit is embarrassing, I don’t care who the hottest are / if you cannot sell out an arena by yourself in America or somewhere overseas, you’re not a star,” he raps on the two minutes-long song.
