Latto dropped her sophomore album 777 this past Friday and it had a bunch of big name features on it like Lil Wayne, Childish Gambino, Kodak Black and more. There was some controversy surrounding the release because of Latto saying that a male feature on the album didn’t want to clear their verse unless she accepted their sexual advances. Many online were looking at the track list and speculating who it was and Kodak Black’s manager ended up coming out and saying she was doing it for attention.
Now, fresh off of the album and the ‘Big Energy’ remix featuring Mariah Carey, the first week sales numbers for the album are here. The album is estimated to sell 21.9k copies first week with 1.1k of that number coming from pure sales. This is definitely a little disappointing compared to some of the hype that was around the project.
