A lot of rappers, especially ones that came up in the blog era, have some of their best and/or most beloved work on old mixtapes that most of the time, never made it onto digital streaming platforms. Over the past few years, a few of these like Wiz Khalifa’s Kush & Orange Juice and Lil Wayne’s No Ceilings.
Earlier this month, Wale revealed that his classic mixtape More About Nothing was going to be put up on streaming services. Fans rejoiced, because even with incredible albums like The Album About Nothing and Attention Deficit, many feel that that tape houses some of his best bars. Tonight, the tape is available on streaming.
Wale revealed that Jerry Seinfeld was instrumental in getting things cleared, so perhaps we can also get The Mixtape About Nothing up as well sometime soon.
