The Game has been teasing a new album called Drillmatic for the past few months which is basically his return to making albums again after announcing retirement with his last one, Born 2 Rap.
On Saturday night, he took to social media to reveal that the new album, officially titled DRILLMATIC – Mind vs. Heart, will arrive for fans on June 17th. It’s been previously teased that Hit-Boy will be heavily involved with the LP and the west coast emcee has stamped that again by announcing that Drillmatic is executive produced by the hit maker. Whether he’s also supplying all beats on the album remains to be seen.
Game also put up an old school picture of him and his son but it’s not clear whether it will serve as the official artwork. Hit-Boy recently stopped by Sway in the Morning Show and played a new song with Game that’s set to appear on the forthcoming album. It sure sounds good — peep it below.
