Multiple Drake Demos Leak, Including Dr. Dre ‘Detox’ Reference & ‘Jaded’ With Ty Dolla $ign Verse

Drake has been no stranger to leaks throughout his career. Even as recently as this month, collaborations with Lil Wayne, PARTYNEXTDOOR and Tems have all surfaced online. Today, another batch of music from The Boy has made its way online.

This time around, most of the leaks are demos and alternate versions of songs that we’ve already heard. There are five tracks in total and we’ve outlined them below for you.

‘Jaded’

This version of ‘Jaded’ is arranged a little differently, but the main difference is that instead of purely background vocals and ad-libs, Ty Dolla $ign has a full verse on here, some of which uses the melody of the song. It seems like Drake’s longer second verse on the final version may have been the reason it didn’t make it.

‘Overdrive’

This version of ‘Overdrive’ is mostly the same as the original except for some extra background vocals on the chorus, a longer instrumental outro and some general production changes.

‘Child’s Play’

This is a different vocal take from Drake on the lyrics we’ve heard before and some of the other lyrics have been changed too.

‘Concentrate’

This is a beat with a Drake chorus on here, many of the lyrics from which ended up on his remix of Fetty Wap’s ‘My Way’.

‘Tell Me’

This is a reference that Drake did for Dr. Dre back in the day when he was working on Detox in the late 2000s.

On top of these, some new snippets have surfaced, including an alternate version of ‘Calling My Name’ and a Metro Boomin collab.
