UPDATE: The final numbers are in. As expected, Gunna debuts at #3 on the charts, slightly outdoing projections to sell 83,122 copies of a Gift & a Curse first week. Just 973 of that number comes from pure sales.
Gunna released his new album a Gift & a Curse this past Friday which marked his first project since release from jail late last year.
Pleading guilty to RICO charges, the rapper had made it clear publicly that he hadn’t made a statement, been interviewed, co-operated or agreed to testify with the case in any way, but that didn’t stop the internet from calling him a snitch. Gunna addresses a lot of those claims in multiple songs on the album.
Today, we have the first week sales projections for it. a Gift & a Curse is expected to move 78k copies in the first week with just about 1600 coming from pure sales, reports HDD. This will give it a number 2 spot on the Billboard 200 this week as Morgan Wallen continues to hold the top spot with his latest hit album One Thing At A Time.
In comparison, his last album DS4Ever moved 150k copies in the first week to debut at number 1.
