Until now, Ye’s only input on the current Kendrick Lamar vs. Drake feud has been that he washed Kendrick on ‘No More Parties In LA’ and washed Drake at their Free Larry Hoover concert a couple of years ago. He made those claims on Instagram but this afternoon, he makes his position a little clearer with a new song.
Ye jumps on Future, Metro Boomin and Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Like That’ and takes shots at both Drake and J. Cole in the process. Before the verse starts, he says “we gon’ take this p*ssy n*gga out, yo Dot I got you” before he taunts Drake for his label deal which is reportedly worth $500 million. “It’s a wrap for n*ggas, where’s Lucian? Serve your master, n*gga, you caught a little bag for your masters didn’t you? Lifetime deal, I feel bad for n*ggas”. Later on towards the end of the verse, he says “play J. Cole, get the p*ssy dry”. That came along with a tweet aimed at Cole too.
The more attentive of you will remember that this isn’t the first time he’s gone at both Drake and J. Cole in the same breath. In 2020 he requested an apology from the pair and he addressed them on an early version of ‘What Would Meek Do’ too.
