After teasing it for a while, Wale is back with his brand new single ‘Blanco’.
The song marks his first release of 2025 and a taste of his forthcoming new album that is expected later this year via Def Jam. Through ‘Blanco’ Wale takes an unusual approach to his return, rapping and singing about the harsh realities of relying on alcohol to cope with life’s challenges.
“Artists spend years hiding behind bravado…’Blanco’ strips all that away. It’s the beginning of a more honest conversation I want to have with my audience and how I feel, and I want to give people an opportunity to connect with a more vulnerable side of my artistry,” Wale shared about the song.
