Denzel Curry is one of the most prolific lyricists for a young generation of emcees, with a few projects under his belt that have aged like fine wine. Be it his work with Flying Lotus and Kenny Beats, or even razor sharp back-n-forths with ThatMexicanOT, Denzel is really one of them ones.
Of course, it only makes sense that the rapper has now made an announcement that reveals his newly formed rap crew. The collective is called ‘The Scythe,’ and is formed by Denzel, Ferg, TiaCorine and Key Nyata bringing together their styles. For a genre missing out on good collectives, this is certainly a breath of fresh air.
This, however, wasn’t the only thing announced. The group has something concrete to offer from the jump. In fact, the collective has announced the arrival of a new album titled Strictly 4 The Scythe, which will release on March 6 via Loma Vista Recordings.
