DJ Premier and Royce 5’9″ released one of 2014’s best albums with PRHYME, their self titled debut. The two followed up a year later with a deluxe edition of the album in December, 2015 with some additional bonus cuts.
The demand from fans for a sequel has been there since then and they got the good news last November when Preemo confirmed that the album was done. Royce had also sent an interesting tweet where he said that “each beat on the PRhyme album makes a guest appearance.” We’re still trying to decipher what exactly he meant.

Now it looks like PRHYME 2 has a release date. The album has been made available for pre-order on the Fat Beats store which mentions March 16th as the date for the duo’s sophomore album (see screenshot below). There is no confirmation from Royce or Premier about it yet but we have reached out to their reps for more info. Stay tuned.
