UPDATE: The final numbers are in. The mixtape managed to sell 116,895 copies with 30,118 of those being pure sales! Congrats to Logic and VMG.
Previous story:
Logic announced last year that he will be releasing the sequel to his Bobby Tarantino project soon and he kept the promise last week when he finally out it out. He only gave fans a day or so of notice but that was enough to set the charts on fire.
The first week sales projections for Bobby Tarantino II are now in. The Def Jam retail mixtape is expected to a massive 110-125k copies in the first week with 27-32k out of that coming from pure sales, according to HDD. This number will give the rapper a clear way to the top of the Billboard 200 chart next week.
Bobby Tarantino II features high profile guest appearances from Big Sean, 2 Chainz and Wiz Khalifa and serves as the prelude to his forthcoming fourth studio album.
Lil Yachty was the other artist having his debut week with the new album Lil Boat 2 which is on course to do a respectable 60-70k in the first week.
