Common will release his new album Let Love on August 30th and as the name suggests, the content will be filled with the subject of love in all kinds of relationships.
After the Swizz Beatz-featured ‘Hercules’, the Chicago veteran is returning today with a new song and video, ‘Show Me That You Love’. It is dedicated to Common’s relationship with his daughter Omoye who recently graduated from Howard University.
Common has been vocal about not being in the best of terms with her in the past and in this video, he explores the various textures to it, ultimately conveying the message that it’s important for parents to show their children that they care. The rapper revealed recently that the two repaired their equation with the help of therapy. The beautiful song features Jill Scott and Samora Pinderhughes — watch the video below.
