Hayes – ‘Images’

Remember Hayes? The rapper was jointly signed to Timbaland and Dr. Dre but the deal did not work well. He was then picked up by 50 and Floyd for a joint venture through The Money Team. And as soon as he was gaining some momentum courtesy of solid verses on 50 Cent’s 5: Murder By Numbers and The Lost Tape, 50 and Floyd’s relationship went sour, leaving Hayes hanging again.

But he’s trying to make a comeback by releasing new music and freestyles throughout the month of May. Below is a new track called ‘Images’ which you can also download on iTunes. After the jump is the first freestyle of the month, part of his #31DaysInMay campaign.

So Mobb Deep had a rift about a year ago, but they patched things up and have kept it moving since then. They spoke with MTV about the separation and reconciliation, as well as their upcoming tour. Glad to see that their differences appear to be firmly behind them.

Twitter exploded when news of this first broke, now here’s the footage for proof. Young Guru played a new version of Kendrick’s fan favorite ’B*tch Don’t Kill My Vibe’ at SXSW earlier today. New K. Dot verses and a Jay-Z verse? Sounds like heat. Don’t be surprised if this gets the single treatment.

Kanye West was one of the performers at the ongoing 12.12.12: The Concert for Sandy Relief at Madison Square Garden in NYC. After Chris Rock introduced him, the G.O.O.D. Music boss who was dressed in a kilt, quickly ran through his hits like ‘Run This Town’, ‘Jesus Walks’, ‘Diamonds’ (Remix), ‘Touch The Sky’, ‘Gold Digger’, ‘Runaway’ and many more. Some of the songs lasted less than a minute.

‘Ye even chose to do songs like ‘Mercy’ and ‘Clique’ which were odd choices for a charity event like this. Watch the full set below.
